There are some venues that look beautiful… and then there are the ones that feel beautiful to photograph. Botleys Mansion is such a special place to hold your weddings. As a recommended supplier its one of my favourites and I am lucky to keep going back!

The drive up is one of those moments.
Long, sweeping, a little bit cinematic… and then the building reveals itself. It’s the kind of entrance that naturally slows people down. Guests look up. You take it in. And without even trying, you already have your first “this is it” photo. It takes my breathe away every time!! I love it .
Getting Ready at Botleys Mansion
Calm mornings, soft light, and space to breathe
The getting ready space is one of my favourite parts of the whole venue.
It’s big (properly big), filled with natural light, and just… easy to be in. No squeezing around bags or stepping over hair tools. Everyone has room, which means the morning feels calm—and that always shows in the photos.
There’s a natural rhythm to it:
- quiet moments
- laughter building
- little in-between glances
And because the groom is close by, you can tell both sides of the story without disrupting either. It all just flows.

There are two ceremony spaces, and honestly, you can’t go wrong with either.
Each one has its own feel, but both give you a clean, elegant backdrop that lets the moment take centre stage. No distractions. No awkward angles.
And then there’s the staircase.
The light here is consistent all year round, which is rarer than you’d think. It means entrances feel intentional. Emotional. Framed in a way that doesn’t need overthinking.

You don’t have to disappear for 40 minutes to get great portraits.
Within a couple of minutes, you’ve got:
- the front of the mansion (iconic, symmetrical, timeless)
- soft fields just opposite for something more relaxed
- the staircase (again… always a win)
- cream brickwork that reflects light beautifully
- fountains, lavender, tucked-away corners
And if the weather turns, you’re covered:
- the library room for something moodier
- the green room as a soft, natural fallback
- the entrance hall for those editorial, slightly dramatic frames
It means your gallery feels varied—without ever feeling rushed.

Whether you’re at the bottom of the stairs or by the glass doors, the setup just works.
Everyone can see you. Everyone feels part of it.
And that changes the energy completely—reactions are bigger, moments land better, and it all translates beautifully in both photos and film.

There are rooms either side that are perfect for adding personality:
photo booths, 360 setups, mid speeches dancing, magicians, illustrators… whatever fits your vibe.
And if you’re thinking about singing waiters—do it.
I have seen these guys perform twice at Botleys – and it was CHAOS and brilliant
The reactions are always slightly chaotic, completely joyful, and some of the most fun moments to capture.

As the day softens, the whole place changes.
The light drops, the pace slows, and suddenly you’ve got space for those quieter portraits. Nothing forced. Just a short walk, a bit of breathing room, and images that feel like you.
Sunset here is always worth stepping out for—even if it’s just for ten minutes.

Even in the evening, it never feels overcrowded.
There’s a proper dance floor for those who want it, and quieter spaces for everyone else. So the energy builds naturally, rather than peaking all at once.
