Capturing your most joyful moments is an amazing way to make a living - and it’s a real privilege to be part of them.
Whether that’s your wedding day, your tiny new baby, or the energy of your kids at a family shoot.
Trust me - we’re going to have so much fun!
I’m incredibly grateful that this job has also allowed me to teach new skills, mentor some amazing photographers, run my own workshops, and speak at events and podcasts.
I met my husband just before I turned 19, and this year we celebrated 27 years together. Before he even asked me out, he told his mum he’d met a girl at work he was going to marry!
We got married almost 20 years ago — which still feels a bit crazy. When I first started photographing weddings, everyone was older than me… now most couples are younger. So I suppose I’ll have to start behaving like a grown-up soon — just not yet!
I was never a shy kid — I loved performing in school plays and making people laugh.
After school, I went to university to study Drama, and when I graduated, I got my dream job teaching A-level and BTEC students.
Those three years spent encouraging people to let go, have fun and be in the moment are skills I now use every day as a photographer.
Well, first up — they’re not so little anymore! Our kids are now 19 and 15, so I’ve experienced it all: tiny babies, screaming toddlers, cheeky kids, and now the teenage and adult years.
These two are my world. For now, they still love home-cooked food, a cuddle on the sofa, working out together and chatting late into the evening.
Knowing they may both move out in the next few years makes me want to hold those hugs a little longer.
I asked them to sum me up in a few words — they know me better than most…
Funny & kind
Natural, genuine & full of laughter
A good cook
Our mate
Almost 6 foot! Which, let’s be honest, is great for avoiding double chins as I’m taller than most.
For me if you bring good vibes, high energy & are ready to laugh you get that back in return.
I’m not afraid to make a bit of a fool of myself to get the giggles - silly voices, awkward dancing, bad singing - I'm in!
I get people involved and keep things flowing (perhaps my drama teacher background!)
