I am a true believer in making sure you know what a full shoot may look like. With family shoots you really have to follow the kids lead - Depending on your children's age will change what games I play! I love to start shoots at home & then get some shots outdoors - Here are some more full family shoots.

From 3-4 months old you will be getting smiles

mary Poppins Powers!
It is always so much easier to make other people’s children laugh for pictures than it is our own! Lot’s of parents often worry that their kids will not ‘smile nicely for pictures’!
I am all about making your family shoot a fun experience. I will use my Mary Poppins powers to get them onside. I used to teach performing arts so have lots of games to get them playing and forget they are having their picture taken. I use lots of silly voices to engage them and get natural giggles rather than any cheesy smiles. I started to shoot professionally back in 2007 so I have lots of tricks in my bag! So please never worry, you can never expect kids to smile endlessly for ages so we have bursts of getting great shots and then move location, let them have a break and then more magic happens!
